I was just called and told the same thing as MG but is that for real?
Report by Rachel Long ago Unknown
It's a scam. They told me I won something, but they mentioned the name of a mall I have never been to and gave an address I haven't lived at in over 10 years.
Report by Hb Long ago Unknown
I was told the same thing as you, but do we really win one of those prizes? Or is it a scam?
Report by MG Pt2 Long ago Unknown
They called again, I answered and i was told it was a winner of a Mercedes Benz, $1,500 shopping spree, $500.00 cash or a 4 day 3 night vacation. I just have to visit a time share meeting.
Report by MG Long ago Unknown
Called at 10:57 am, 12:49 pm, 1:37pm. Called back and wanted to know what number i was calling from. I told them my number and that wanted to know my info, I told them i would not give out i piece of personal info until they told me who that were. They refused to tell me who they were. I hung up.
Report by JP Long ago Unknown
Sweepstake winner and they say they are in partnership of the BBB.
Report by RM Long ago Unknown
I called the number back and they answered all official like "Dispatch", please!! I'm never filling out another card anywhere! What was I thinking? Telemarketing for sure!
Report by DB Long ago Unknown
they told me the same but then said I didn't even need to take the tour - tours I've taken in the past have given the prizes (usually the trip)  If they offer you a choice take something you will use.  Trips are typically mid week off season when they need to fill spots anyway and airline will never align with the trip which is how they get away with offering these things for "free".  Don't fall prey to the set up appointments mid week - they know you can't make it because you probably work during the week. so they will ask you what is convienient this way it make you feel as if you are in control while they just hooked you into a tour.
Report by Beth Long ago Unknown
Same thing for me.  They didn't even have my name right - they asked for someone else and when I said that they had the wrong number they said their database goes by numbers, not names so I was still eligible for those prizes.  Sounds a little shady to me so I said no thank you and hung up.
Report by axay Long ago Unknown
I am with you.  I am almost positive it will be a hard pitch sales of something.  But like they say you can get blood from a turnip.  So i think 90 min of my time is worth $500.

They call me like 5 times in an hour and a half span. They are a time share place I spon the wheel at the mall and bought two trips for 70.00 dollars plus filled out to win the car. If you when the car let me know don't see it happening. All I had to do for the trip is attend a 90 minute time share meeting you don't have to purchase but they will pestur you to death to do. But if you survive the 90 minutes of BS then your trip is ok from there and you don't have to attend for the 2nd trip. But the calling several times in a roll is very annoying and enough to make some one won't to cuss them out
Report by kimmy Long ago Unknown
I got a call from them and they told me I was a "guaranteed Winner" one in four, i would get my chance at either $49,000, or a mercedes.  If i didn't get either of those then I was guaranteed either $500 or a trip with air fair included.  All i had to do was listen to them for 90 minutes then I would walk out with one of those four gifts.  When I googled the terms and conditions however I read that at any time the sponsor of the promotion has the right to exchange the gift for something of equal value to them.  Sounds like a SCAM i am not going.  Anyone with similar calls would love to hear about it.

Same thing here....I filled out the card and "spun the wheel", at the Formula One Race Weekend downtown event in Austin, Texas...Silverleaf Resorts...Now I get the annoying calls every day, two times, twice a day, no messages...Thankfully, I had a friend who was married to someone who worked for them, so I knew not to attend the "wear down" 90 minute session.....

Yeah, I checked out the message.  Luckily I did some google searching before I considered sending him money.  He was going by Alan Gorian and using gorianlan@aol.com.  I called the number he provided (+44 703 1805678) and it went directly to a message machine with a woman's voice.  She was speaking Portuguese or Spanish! Here's all of the responses he sent me-#1"Hello , I am sorry if I responded this late but I've got aprox. 200 emails for this place .The place was gut renovated 1 month ago and the pics were taken 2 weeks ago .I own the place no corporation or agencies involved .Most of my time I am on bussiness and I wanted someone to take care of the apt .Right now I am on a trip in London and will be back in 6 days . As I am almost always on the road with bussiness, I do not live there anymore so I decided to rent it.My main concern is to have the apartment housed and well taken care of, while I am away. I will need a clean and responsible tenant so references would be great. If you can email them, I will appreciate it.                  You can rent it for up to 5 years, possibly longer. The move-in date can be anytime. I tried to include in this email all possible information about the apartment, including pics(see attached files). Here it goes: Contemporary European Style Luxury Loft in Downtown DC, Property is conveniently located near: convention center, 4 metro stations, China town, Logan circle, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Info : 1br/1ba, 4th floor, 980 sqf, minimum stay 3 months, small pets allowed, parking space available, utilities included (cable, internet, gas), furnished/unfurnished/partial-furnished . Property : 1125 11th St NW,Washington, DC 20001 Amenities/FeaturesWasher/Dryer in Unit   Balcony  Hardwood Floors   High Ceilings   Elevator   Fireplace   Air Condition - Central Air and Heat   High definition TV   Fully Equipped Kitchen   Security System   Eat-in Kitchen   High Speed Internet   Public Transportation   Cable    Rent : $1,060/month  Regards, Get back to me asap if you are still interested Alan"#2"Hello Jaan, The thing is that I've got a lot of offers for the apt . I can do an open/house when I return but I think it is too much trouble . The only option I left open to view/rent the apartment, without waiting, is a reservation of the apartment. In this case I will cancel all appointments and come show and rent it to you.It is much easier for me and for the new tenant . The reservation will imply the rental agreement signed by both parties and the deposit for holding .I will send the rental agreement from here signed, you will sign it also send it back by fax or email (scanned). Once you made this you will need to make available a deposit of $900 dollars here in London . The deposit is refundable . So if you are really interested in the apt then you can reserve it, before the others get a chance to contact me .If not, then maybe none of them will hold(reserve) the apt down and we can meet at the open/house .There are weak chances because it is a beauty and one of those 200 will surely reserve it so you better hurry up . If you are ready to proceed write down in your next email on the subject line (rental agreement) and your full name, full current address, starting date of the rental, end date . I will reply with all instructions so we can go further .This email should be sent in max a couple of hours. If you wish to reserve please understand perfectly all the details that I told you until now, before you write down "rental agreement" and all the other things .Also if you want to ask about me here are the 2 last tenants that were in the apt : Antonio Baughman - tonybaughman@live.comLeitchy Anna -     le112ann@aol.com When you make up your mind please inform me with the decision . Not too late because I told you there are many interested in it.                                                                   Thank you for understanding and have a great day .    UK : +44 703 1805678"#3"I have attached the rental agreement . My informations are : Alan Gorian100 Shoreditch High StreetLondon E16JBUK You will use these informations for the wire transfer by Western Union .Also the infos are written down on the last page of the rental agreement .I will be expecting all the requested informations in a couple of hours .The fax number is : +44 0871 5033844 or +44 871 5033844 . My phone number : +44 703 1805678. With this I think I concluded all the details and I hope we can resolve it asap .Also I would prefer if you give me a call after you have made the transfer and signed the rental agreement so we can disscus my arrival date there . same thing in DC now - says he's in London - wants $900 wired to 'hold' the apartment in Chinatown!!   The old saying that 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is' certainly applies here. Buyer beware!!!!

I received a call from this number, but no message was left. I called back from my work number as it was local. I then called back from my cell where I received the call, and my number was "entered" into a "daily sweepstakes". I requested that me number be removed from their list through the number's automated system. This is likely a scam for financial information. No person actually answers the phone. Plus, my number is on both the national and state DNC.

Received a phone call from this number . There was a recorded message claiming to offer low cost health insurance. I just hung up on them. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry but obviously it doesn't mean anything to this caller. Probably a scam.
