The criminals behind this operation do not come to this site and even if they did they would have no intention of removing someone that posts here.I use this site to pass on information that I have gathered and hopefully it will give some insight into these criminal operations. I'm just a poor ignorant uneducated country boy from backwoods Wisconsin who has received more than 300 calls from these scum sucking criminals. They claim that you can go to their website and be removed from their calling lists:       wcaconsent Good luck with that. The bad news is there are thousands of complaints about this company not stopping the calls not to mention the unresolved complaints from the BBB that can't find a legitimate address for the company. I didn't recognize this number so I left it go to voicemail. They didn't leave a message. When I called back, it said they were WCA Subscriber services & that they recognized my number from their subscriber list. It went on to say that either myself or someone I know entered my info on a website or sweepstakes. They were called to let me know that I won a 6-day vacation to Cancun, Mexico. My options were to press 1 to accept, press 2 to decline or press 3 to unsubscribe.

Most of you need to start reading the "news" part of the newspaper instead of just the comics. NFIB is the largest most influential business organization in America according to surveys by Fortune Magazine. The members of NFIB set the agenda and move the legislation that affects all your businesses. They were recently the lead plaintiff in the biggest case to be heard by the Supreme Court since Brown vs Board of Education (NFIB vs Sebelius) (Obamacare). If you are not a member, then you are letting the businesses that are members pay your way. However, they are also making the decisions on legislation for you. This is a true grassroots organization. If a rep comes to your door; LISTEN TO HIM! HE WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND!

It is important to be careful when it comes to phone calls asking for money!  If you aren't sure just have them send someone to your office.  NFIB is a legitimate organization that has made some substantial headway on saving small business. You shoud never have to argue with a caller regarding any matter, however, it is important that all small business looks at their attitude.  Are we really too busy to participate in saving our own businesses?  Everyone should take a look at the bills that NFIB killed that would have put us out of business.  Just sayin!

NFIB is definitely legitimate and has been around since the 1940's. They have a phone renewal crew out of Boca Raton. These guys are ruthless they'll tell you anything to get your check. You can always say to send somebody to your business.

800-227-8514

17 Report Long ago Unknown
I've gotten these calls from NFIB previously, so I recognize the call as coming from NFIB.  True, they give you an 800 number to call them back. I believe that's done as a courtesy, and as an opportunity to avoid having someone ask you to call them back at your expense so they can hit you up for re-upping your membership. My understanding is that this particular group out of Boca Raton is targeting collection of dues or re-upping memberships.  I've spoken with them several times.I've personally elected not to re-up and this is the third campaign in which I've been targeted.   My personal opinion of the job they are doing/should be doing is immaterial to this post---but I can confirm that NFIB does work this way soliciting membership of smaller businesses.

800 numbers are not necessarily legit...this company should be more forthcoming with information if it is legit.Realise, I am not saying it is or it isn't legit, but companies that hide behind other things usually are not on the "up and up". We need to be cautious against the scammers that are out there.

I received a message to call this person back regarding my tax information. They identified themselves as a member of the Small Business Group I am part of. One, I am not part of a Small Business Group that would not identify themselves by the group name. Two, only my CPA and myself have tax information that I require. In the past I have been a member of the NFIB, but this year I am not due to cost cutting. This is definatley a call to beware of.

A lady called our business phone and identified herself as "Emily". She wanted my boss to call her back at 800-227-8514 to authorize the annual membership amount for NFIB to charge to his credit card. She refused to send a renewal form via USPS telling us that NFIB does not do renewals that way. (BTW, IF this is a SCAM, then sending it via USPS exposes them to a federal mail fraud charge.) "Emily" refused to answer why her CallerID was blocked Private. This certainly does not sound legitimate.

Yes...i spoke with a gentlemen by the name of Jeff Connors.  He was very knowledgeable about the issues of the NFIB and he faxed me a membership dues slip to fill out with my bank info for $100.00.  There is a phone number on the bottom out of Boca Raton, FL and their website address.  www.NFIB.com however i could not find anything with the non 800 # on the form, nor could i find a NFIB location in Boca Raton, FL.  So this could or could not be legit.  I will not be filling out my bank info and faxing it back.  Even though things do look fairly in order...never can be too safe.

Got a call from 800 227 8514, caller claimed to be from NFIB.  This is a great organization, we are members. The problem is that she (Andi Hall) said that she could not send an invoice for the membership, we should either use a credit card or do an automated check transaction to pay for the membership renewal.  then they would send us a receipt.Sorry, but this smells like NFIB is being scammed.  If not, NFIB needs to change their act, this is crazy to ask someone to give the keys to their credit card or bank account by phone to an unknown caller. If anyone out there works for NFIB, suggest you call 800 227 8514 and ask whoever answers the phone to "share with you the benefit of their thinking."

But the time you finish these offers, you end up paying more for the offers than you would if you just bought the phone to begin with.  Don't fall for this trap.  I texted back "STOP", so hopefully, they will not text again.

The only problems is, those programs don't work, and to add insult to injury, you'll find yourself paying hefty fees to those companies, only to end up right where you started, or worse. Sometimes, what is couched as a credit repair program may actually be an attempt to steal your identity by gaining information about your social security number, bank accounts, and credit cards. Here's how the credit repair scam generally works:First, the company will contact the various credit bureaus and tell them that the negative information contained in your files is false. Since they want to accurately reflect your credit information, the credit bureaus will temporarily remove the negative information while they investigate the claims. Meanwhile, the scammer sends you a copy of your credit file, showing that the negative information has been removed, claiming that your credit history has now been repaired. It will seem like a miracle, until you learn that as soon as the credit bureaus have completed their investigation, any accurate negative information will be returned to your credit report, and you'll be back where you started, minus the fees that you paid to the scammer. The key concept to remember when it comes to your credit report is that accurate entries will stay on that report for seven years from the time they're reported to the credit agencies. Bankruptcies stay on a report for fourteen years. From the Federal Trade Commission WebsiteCredit Repair: How to Help YourselfYou see the advertisements in newspapers, on TV, and on the Internet. You hear them on the radio. You get fliers in the mail, and maybe even calls offering credit repair services. They all make the same claims:“Credit problems? No problem!”“We can remove bankruptcies, judgments, liens, and bad loans from your credit file forever!”“We can erase your bad credit — 100% guaranteed.”“Create a new credit identity — legally.”The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says do yourself a favor and save some money, too. Don’t believe these claims: they’re very likely signs of a scam. Indeed, attorneys at the nation’s consumer protection agency say they’ve never seen a legitimate credit repair operation making those claims. The fact is there’s no quick fix for creditworthiness. You can improve your credit report legitimately, but it takes time, a conscious effort, and sticking to a personal debt repayment plan. Recognizing a Credit Repair ScamEveryday, companies target consumers who have poor credit histories with promises to clean up their credit report so they can get a car loan, a home mortgage, insurance, or even a job once they pay them a fee for the service. The truth is, these companies can’t deliver an improved credit report for you using the tactics they promote. It’s illegal: No one can remove accurate negative information from your credit report. So after you pay them hundreds or thousands of dollars in fees, you’re left with the same credit report and someone else has your money. If you see a credit repair offer, here’s how to tell if the company behind it is up to no good:The company wants you to pay for credit repair services before they provide any services. Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act, credit repair companies cannot require you to pay until they have completed the services they have promised. The company doesn’t tell you your rights and what you can do for yourself for free. The company recommends that you do not contact any of the three major national credit reporting companies directly. The company tells you they can get rid of most or all the negative credit information in your credit report, even if that information is accurate and current. The company suggests that you try to invent a “new” credit identity — and then, a new credit report — by applying for an Employer Identification Number to use instead of your Social Security number. The company advises you to dispute all the information in your credit report, regardless of its accuracy or timeliness. If you follow illegal advice and commit fraud, you may find yourself in legal hot water, too: It’s a federal crime to lie on a loan or credit application, to misrepresent your Social Security number, and to obtain an Employer Identification Number from the Internal Revenue Service under false pretenses. You could be charged and prosecuted for mail or wire fraud if you use the mail, telephone, or Internet to apply for credit and provide false information.
